How to have the Perfect Visarjan for your DIY Shadu Mati Ganpati
A great guest always deserves a warm welcome. And of course, when we talk about our favourite Bappa, he deserves the best Visarjan, as he leaves the earthly plane to go back to his heavenly abode. Everyone gathers as the band plays catchy songs, and the Lord of Wisdom gets a beautiful farewell filled with pomp and flair by his loving devotees.
However, an awry side of Visarjan is how incorrect disposal methods lead to excess water pollution and can severely affect the lives of underwater fauna. While local government bodies are actively assigning disposal spaces to prevent dumping toxic materials especially POP in our water bodies.
A better and more eco-friendly alternative is to Shadu Mati,a naturally derived clay that decomposes naturally and complements the ecosystem rather than harming it. With Kitsters DIY Shadu Mati Ganpati Kit, you get to sculpt your OWN Shadu Mati Ganpati - with everything you need packed right in the kit, (including a beginner-friendly video tutorial). Not only that, you don't have to worry too much about immersion! This is because the Shadu Mati in the Kit is completely pure, making it easy to conduct visarjan, even at your own home!
Here's how you can conduct a home visarjan and even reuse the leftover Mati:

Have a small visarjan at home by following these steps:
1.Grab a plastic bucket or small tub. Make sure the size is proportionate to your idol.
2. Lay an old saree or cloth over it to collect the leftover clay residue later.
3.Fill the bucket with water.
4.Place the idol in and let it soak for about 4-5 hours.
5. Using a stick, check the consistency of the Mati. If it looks solidified, gather the old cloth and drain it of excess water.
6. Leave to dry until the excess water recedes and then once it dries, pack it into an airtight container for later use.
